Urbanist, landscape architect and agronomist, doctorate with aggregation in Territory Planning. Professor at the University of Lisbon, where he has been teaching and researching since 1976. He is the author of works such as the "Park of the City of Oporto", distinguished by the Order of Engineers, in 2001, as one of the "100 Civil Engineering Works of the 20th Century - Portugal", Almada City Park, Oeiras, the Regeneration of the Ribeirinha Front of Alcochete, the Outer Spaces of the Sá Carneiro Airport, among others.
He has published extensive work on the theory and practice of urbanism highlighting the four volumes of "Urban Norms" edited by DGOT and UTL and the "Appropriation of Territory" edited by the Order of Engineers.
In 2009, he coordinated in the Ministry of Finance, Sub-Working Group for the revision of the Taxation of Real Estate and Great Fortunes.
In 2011 it was honored by the Municipality of Almada with an exhibition titled "Sidónio Pardal. Urbanism and Landscape".
In 2014 he was invited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Portugal for a formative action on urbanism and heritage assessment.
