Associate Professor at FEP-U.Porto, Head of International Business, Porto Business School, Director of InvestPorto.
Degree in Management (FEP), M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Economics (University of Reading). Postdoctoral studies at Strathclyde University.
She has a career of two decades as a specialist in Foreign Direct Investment, Internationalization, Innovation and Public Policy. She was Vice-President of the CCDR-N, presided over the Atlantic Area Program, Pro-Rector of U.Porto, Visiting Professor at foreign universities (Columbia University, Universities of Glasgow, Strathclyde, Reading, among others) and member of several Companies and foundations. It was associated with the founding of the Portuguese Agency for Investment. President of the European International Business Academy (2010), and Fellow of this Academy since 2016.
Consultant to major international organizations (OECD, UNCTAD, European Commission, etc.) and to governments, she has worked on five continents. Author of numerous scientific journals in international journals and books such as the recent Rethinking Investment Incentives: Trends and Policy Options (Columbia University Press, 2016), guest speaker at expert meetings and international conferences, she has received numerous awards for scientific merit and career recognition, and collaborates with several international think tanks.
