The Andresen House, the former Campo Alegre Palace, built in the beginning of the 19th century by the entrepreneur João Andresen, has constructive solutions that still nowadays an example of constructive innovation in its energetic performance.

Each one of these constructive and structural innovations will be explained during the talk and the guided tour to the building by the architect Nuno Valentim, the Engineer Vasco Freitas and the Engineer Aníbal Costa who was the person in charge of the detailed work of survey before the intervention in the framework of the rehabilitation of the current Andresen House.

Note 1: the capture of images inside Casa Andresen is not allowed; Access to certain areas will be conditioned due to work in progress within the scope of the Biodiversity Gallery.

Note 2: the Stepping Out activities aim at the general public. For any participation covering another area, an authorisation must be requested detailing the purpose of that visit.
