Paulo Manuel Neto da Costa Pinho (Porto, 1956) is Professor at FEUP, founder and Director of CITTA, Center for Territory, Transport and Environment Research at the Universities of Porto and Coimbra; Founder and first Director of the Master in Urban Planning and Design (FEUP / FAUP) and the Doctoral Program in Planning of the Territory (UP / UC). In 2014, Paulo was elected General Secretary of AESOP - the European Association of Schools of Planning and Urbanism (for the 2015-19 mandate). Having is degree in Civil Engineering by FEUP in 1978, it has the Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, in 1985, and the title of Attaché at FEUP in 1997. In addition to teaching, consulting and research activities (he is the author of More than 100 publications – from articles to books and book chapters) was also a member of the Higher Council of Public Works, a Consultant to DGXI of the European Commission, and Advisor to the Presidency of the CCDRN.
